We identify with the Protestant Evangelical branch of Theology. We belong to the network of the worldwide Evangelical Friends Church, but we also have contact to many other churches in all around the world.    

The name of the church comes from John’s Gospel (15:14): “You are my friends, if you do what I command you.” Our church is characterised by a free, homely and joyful atmosphere with lively songs of worship. Our aim is to see theocracy come to domination in the EFC Hungary with the Word of God, the Scripture becoming the supreme authority above all in each personal life as well as in every family and the church as a whole.

According to the Scripture of our call (Romans 15:20) we want to address people who have not heard of the Gospel. At the same time, we also open our doors to those who have gone weary and disappointed, and have withdrawn from God and the Church. We want to build new “boats and arks”, where people can get to know Christ, live out their faith and come to God’s Kingdom in an open, home-like and friendly fellowship. Our goal is to help people to build up a strong personal relationship with God. Our desire is to be the hand of Christ reaching out to people, and to provide a spiritual home to anyone who wants to come to and serve the Lord. As Jesus said:  “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11, 28)
